Quasar - Love Theme from Spartacus FULL CDQ - GOWHERE? Approved!
Aicube Music group presents...Beautiful Field. Straight from Japan, this album is a must have if you want to spice up your music taste with Jazzy Hip Hop Beats! From the begining to the end, this album is rediculous.. The joint of the day is an instrumental that I'd like to get my hands on and add on some Lupe or Common. Get more info and but this album here.
Above is the latest from Nas called "Be A Nigger Too" - yet another interesting take from the NY rapper. He has some lines in here that'll make ya think and I like his backing of Eminem in this one as well. Below, are 2 snippets of him performing more NEW material at Syracuse University (big ups 2 GWHH fan and 'Cuse student - "Okur"!) recently, as well as the latest from Fabolous (his verse is the last one and is sweet, shouting out 2 Ye & Lupe!) and also R&B singer Sterling Simms and finally a Madonna request. I also included the real version of "The Beat Goes On" (the one posted earlier in the week is apparently false) and this new version is a lot better and features 2/3 of CRS - Kanye West & Pharrell! Enjoy!
Daft Punk & Kanye West - Harder, Better, Faster, STRONGER (Remix) Gowhere? Remix - Full CDQ Flanger Version Gowhere? Approved! its been a long time guys, but Ive been real busy traveling, but I'm back and I'm back with a joint that I mixed up last night.. Daft Punk and Kanye West "STRONGER"(Flanger Remix). Its only right cuz GLOW IN THE DARK TOUR is coming up! Enjoy some Old School Daft punk with some new school Kanye.
So the Kweli video got me inspired 2 put up some Kweli for Old School Sundays, so here is a track from 2004 before John Legend was a household name as he is featured on a nice hook. But yeah, this was always one of my favorites when I came across this song well after the album had been released and listened 2 it non-stop for awhile right after. Still a great throwback track 2 listen 2 that ya'll should DL if u don't have it already. I'm assuming all the true Kweli heads have it, but for those who don't, but like Kweli or Legend, u'll like this track for sure. Enjoy!
It's a really slow day so I figured I would just put up this new video of Talib Kweli looking real pissed and about 2 punch some guy out. I'll be back for Old School Sundays around midnite and maybe somethin will surface before then, so stay tuned! Enjoy!
Above, straight from kanYe's blog, are some nice new pics of the "Homecoming" artwork and the Air Yeezys! Both are pretty tight, altho I think that white space could be an animated CHI-Town skyline and that I'm an adidas fan, haha. Still sweet tho, don't get me wrong. Below is a new track from The Game & Keyshia Cole and a video premiere from Mary J. Blige that I meant 2 post in the last one, but was in a rush and simply forgot. Peep those 2 below and enjoy!
Above is the supposed cover for Usher's upcoming album, Here I Stand, tentatively slated for May 27th (I heard June.) Looks like a tight cover w/ Usher rockin' the beard.
Maybe DeShawn Stevenson will tell Ush 2 stop copying him as well! Hahaha. (Beside the point, I know, but I thought that quote in the DeShawn story was hilarious... and I'm pullin for him, Gil, & the Wiz starting 2morrow!) Ok, back on topic, below we got some NEW trax f/ Usher's crew One Chance, Bobby Valentino, Ne-Yo, & a Madonna/Kanye West collaboration, even though I don't hear Kanye at all... maybe he produced it? But Kanye is credited with the track. And you can also check out some Cool Kids and Gemstones live video performances from Mano's (from He Say, She Say) bday party in the CHI last night! Enjoy!
Here's a couple tidbits for ur late nite hip hop fix. Gnarls Barkley has pushed the creative limits as they took their latest LP, The Odd Couple, started w/ the last track and went backwards with the beats and vocals. Def worth checkin' out above as they put it up for free! And in some really exciting news, I was really hoping for a Lupe Fiasco RMX album since Lu's versatility allows him 2 sound awesome over any beats, and I got my wish as, in the story below, Lupe Fiasco's The Cool is being RMXed by French electronic duo, Justice! Peep a quote from the story and click the link for the FULL story below!
Alongside a "ridiculous" remix of his new single ‘Paris, Tokyo’, Lupe also told Rickie that a certain French electronic duo are remixing his new album: "I’m remixing the album with Justice, I’m gonna shout out to Justice".
The NEW album from Minneapolis hip hop group Atmosphere will be released this Tuesday (the 22nd) and above is a track from that album that I'm really likin called "In Her Music Box"! It concludes the album and Slug had this 2 say about the track,
"It's about a little girl who learned how to use and abuse escapism through music. It finishes the story [of the album]. When we made this song, I knew the minute it was finished it would be the last song on the album."
You can read full track by track comments like the one above for the whole album by Atmosphere HERE!
Below, we got the latest from CHI-Town's own Yung Berg with Fabolous, Young Buck, Snoop, & The Outlawz, and a video premiere from Buckshot, 9th Wonder, Talib Kweli, & Tyler Woods! Enjoy!
Wow, are you kidding me? Look at that picture above. That's ridiculous... Kanye touching the sky! Man, I honestly can't wait til they come 2 Chicago cuz it's going 2 be something that we've never even seen or experienced. Just wow. Anyway, be sure 2 check out some cool hip hop vids below and I'll hopefully be up later 2nite w/ some worthy trax for u 2 DL. Enjoy!
